ENERFOAM / ENERBOND products

ENERFOAM™ Professional Foam Sealant is a
one-component, minimal expanding flexible polyurethane foam used for
adhering insulated concrete forms, architectural foam and drywall,
and sealing cracks and voids around windows, doors and pipe penetrations. The foam
expands only enough to generate an effective seal, retaining
elasticity as the structure expands and compresses.
ENERFOAM™ Professional Foam Sealant is designed to form a
durable, airtight, water-resistant bond to common building
substrates such as wood, brick, concrete, foam board and most
plastics. Its foam skin repels and deflects water, which can help
reduce the potential for moisture damage to wood substrates.
ENERFOAM™ Professional Foam Sealant:
- Expands to take the shape of cracks and voids, forming an airtight barrier
- Reduces pathways where insects can enter
- Can reduce drywall nail pops
- Installs in minutes (tack-free within 6 minutes; trims within an hour -
dependent upon temperature, relative humidity and size of foam bead)
Available in 24 oz and 30 oz gun-applied and reusable straw-applied versions
Building Code Compliance:
UL classified as a sealant; see
Classification Certificate R13655. Meets ASTM D6464 and ICC-ES
ESR-1961.

about ENERBOND™
on Internet forums
topic: EnerBond SF Adhesive
"I'm looking for field experience(s) with a product sold as EnerBond SF. This is a polyurethane moisture-cure foam that is promoted as a subfloor and sheathing adhesive.
We use their air-sealing bulk foams extensively but have not used their construction adhesive.
There appears to be good financial reason based on yield per unit vs. cost to use this product in lieu of conventional construction adhesives, if it performs as advertised."
re: EnerBond SF Adhesive
"Great product, It works well for everything you can think
of. The only thing i have run across is make sure u clean your guns
after u use them for the last time that day. We have had problems
with the glue hardening in the gun. But it beats using sub-floor
glue any day."
re: EnerBond SF Adhesive
"This stuff is great. It is also great for drywall - you can
use the same can! It is widely used to build modular homes that
would fall apart during transport if not glued together. I used
Enerbond to seal around every exterior wall stud & top & bottom
plates on my own home. Unlike caulk, it expands just enough to fill
even the smallest crack, and it will not pull loose later, like
caulk will."
